There is camping directly at the 23/15 mile start of the race. We have reserved the Group Campsite.
There are day use and camping fees at San Joaquin River Gorge. If you come in on Friday or Saturday to pre-ride, please pay the Iron Ranger. 5 bucks per car, is way cheaper than a ticket. If you are joining us in the Group campsite, please pay for your camping (see below) . If you choose a first-come-first-served campsite, please again pay the Iron Ranger. There is no convenient camping at the start of the 38 mile race in Finegold bay. The best bet will be to get a hotel/motel in Fresno or Clovis area. You can camp at the Gorge with the 23/15 milers which some have done in the past, but account for at least a 45 minute drive from campsite to start line for the 38 mile races.
Lodging in the Fresno/Clovis Area.
There are a number of places to stay, some of them dog friendly. Here is a set of links that are in areas of town you should be able to stay comfortably and find something to eat nearby. Plan on about 35 min drive or so from town to race start. Also check out AirBnB as there are rentals in the air for both private rooms and entire homes.
